Okay, so going out to bars and drinking with your friends is a pretty fun time. We all understand that.
But, for me, a lot of my best nightlife memories with my friends always occurred after we hit up the bars…and decided to grab a late night snack to satisfy our after-drinking cravings. In Armory Square, one of the most “bar” populated spots in Syracuse, there are a couple great places to fill your stomach up with something other than some drinks.
If you and your friends are absolutely dying for Mexican food at 2 AM, La Taqueria Fresh Mexican Grill, located on S. Clinton St. across from Daisy Dukes’s, is the place to go. Open until 3 AM Thursday through Saturday, this restaurant is conveniently located steps away from downtown’s hot spots, so it’s a great place to wander to after you’re done drinking. With plenty of seats and tables, quick and friendly service, and great food at the right price, this Mexican grill is a perfect place to head to after last-call at the bars.
Everything at La Taqueria is completely fresh and made-to-order…and the food tastes like it. With nachos, tacos, burritos, taco salads, and other Mexican favorites, this restaurant will definitely satisfy your late-night hunger cravings. After picking your choice of Mexican menu item, you head down the assembly line, a friendly employee will assemble any menu item to your liking, with plenty of toppings and sides for you to choose from.
For all the burrito lovers out there, like myself, La Taqueria’s burritos are the way to go. With your choice of meats, cheeses, salsas, rices, lettuce, and other yummy fillers, La Taqueria stuffed my burrito exactly the way I wanted (with chicken, lettuce, guacamole, sour cream, white rice, etc.) and did not skimp out on portions! If you’re looking for a more traditional burrito, try their “La Taqueria Burrito” to start. If you’re feeling a little more adventurous, step it up with the “Ultimate Burrito,” which is amped up with a melted layer of jack cheese.
La Taqueria Fresh Mexican Grill is also located in Cicero, so if you can’t make it down to Armory Square, you can head out there to grab some great Mexican food!
